Epic Scape: Buzz, the band split and now you build a new one

An Epic Scape game joins the PUNK! exhibition at Hakasalmi Villa, where you put together a new punk band and dive into the history of Helsinki punk. The game is included in your exhibition ticket. The exhibition opens on 23 October 2026.

Epic Scape: Buzz is played at Hakasalmi Villa for the whole run of the PUNK! exhibition.

The band has split. The guitarist has left, and the drummer and the bassist have followed. The gig is still coming, so a new line-up has to come together before the stage lights go up.

Epic Scape: Buzz takes the player to gig venues, rehearsal rooms and the history of Helsinki punk. Punk was born on its own terms: bands were started, music was played, zines were made and gigs were organised without permission or a ready-made script. Now it is your turn to carry on the tradition and put together a band that is ready to hit the stage.

How to play

You don't need an app or a user account. Get the game's QR code from the lobby of Hakasalmi Villa. Scan the code with your phone and the game opens in your browser.

Solve the game's puzzles, explore the exhibition and build the new band. When you have finished, show the completed game at the info point. You get a reward, but we will only reveal what it is on site.

PUNK! 50 years of Helsinki street buzz

The exhibition at Hakasalmi Villa celebrates 50 years of punk history in Helsinki. Put together by the Punk Museum and the Helsinki City Museum, it has photos, posters, flyers, instruments and punk records from the 1970s to today.

PUNK! 50 vuotta säpinää Helsingin kaduilla is open from 23 October 2026 until 29 August 2027 at Mannerheimintie 13 b. A ticket costs 17 euros, or 11 euros with a discount. Under 18s and Museokortti holders get in free.
