On Helsinki Day (June 12th), Players Loved Epic Scape
The success of Helsinki Day proved the power of mobile adventures. Epic Scape gathered hundreds of game sessions in a single day with zero budget — and this autumn, we are gearing up for new action.
One day, three routes, and 412 game sessions.
The Forgotten Tombs adventure in Ruttopuisto was packed with players.
The results of Helsinki Day were mind-blowingly amazing for Epic Scape.
Helsinki Day (June 12th) demonstrated just how much drawing power a small Finnish game can have. A simple mention on the event's official website was enough to prove that even minimal marketing gets players moving: with a marketing budget of 0 €, our game successfully competed for people's time in the heart of Helsinki against some of the world's most famous entertainment brands.
Throughout the day, a staggering 412 game sessions were played across our three routes, with the Ruttopuisto adventure alone capturing 190 sessions. In Pokémon GO terms, we are talking about more than 20 full Legendary Raid lobbies worth of players. Best of all, players stayed engaged – the average playtime was well over 28 minutes – and rated the experience an outstanding 4.16/5.
Gearing Up for the Autumn
This was just the beginning, and we are ready for major action this autumn. Our first big museum collaboration is already on the way, and we will share more about it soon. Epic Scape is ready to transform new locations into immersive playgrounds.
