Epic Scape founder Jyri Puhakka and journalist–author Juha Matias Lehtonen have agreed to start a collaboration. Lehtonen will join Epic Scape as a freelance narrative designer later this year.
He will be responsible for writing the game scripts for Epic Scape. With Lehtonen handling the narratives, Puhakka can focus more closely on sales, marketing, and game design.
At the same time, Epic Scape is preparing for new technological leaps in augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
AR brings objects to life on the player's screen. The technology has already been tested and is ready to be implemented into the game's puzzles. AI, in turn, offers new possibilities to make the stories even more dynamic and interactive.
In the future, Epic Scape's game trails will be not only technologically advanced but also narratively cohesive.
This combination ensures that the player's experience inside the Epic Scape magic circle becomes even more captivating.
The first outcome of the collaboration is already complete: the Rikhardinkatu Library trail has been updated with an entirely new game script.
Can you save the Rikhardinkatu Library and restore the panda's smile?
The game is playable until the end of 2025 at riku.epicscape.game
